Following the Global Majority “Promoting Peace through Dialogue” Negotiation, Mediation and Conflict Resolution Seminar and Conference in Amman, Jordan (July 20 – August 3) a delegation visited Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories to see the conflict with their own eyes.
Participants had the opportunity to directly observe ongoing Israeli and Palestinian nonviolent campaigns and community development projects, spend time in Palestinian and Israeli homes, and experience the reality of conflict and military occupation. The delegation focused on seeing, listening to, and recording the experiences and perspectives of a range of Palestinian and Israeli voices.
The eight-day tour was led by experienced local guides and group facilitators from sponsoring organizations.

"As dismal as the situation sounds, my visit allowed me to uncover a deeper truth. It is a myth that there are no partners for the peace process...We heard from both Israeli and Palestinian communities that they are willing, even eager, to talk about real peace." - Alta Schwartz, 2003 delegate
"The tour completely changed the way I view the world - I think everyone should go!" - Beril Unver, 2007 participant
